Why India supported Nepal's Madhesh Movement 2015? - C.N. Khadga
Because India has witnessed closely how Government of Nepal (GoN) tried to suppress the Madhes agitation brutally in inhumane way and made genocide of 4 dozens of Madhesi protesters as well as innocent people. Despite of repeated suggestions of neighbors, friend nations and national & international organisations to find negotiated settlements of concerns of Madheshi, Janajati, Dalits and OBC (Other Backward Class), GoN totally ignored their voices and went forward unilaterally thrashing peaceful protesters and innocent commuters as well as villagers, elderly persons, women and children inhumanly. Security personnel violated all codes and boundaries of minimum human rights, which was also witnessed by National Human Rights Commission, Asian Human Rights Commission, Human Rights Watch and UN as well. How a peace loving country or organisation can support GoN in such situation? After 4 dozens of genocide of Madhesi people by security agencies, and unilateral promulgation of feudal and discriminatory constitution, the dissatisfied marginalized minority groups started stage-in agitation at borderline joining Nepal and India blocking vehicular movement and export and import of Nepal to exert more pressures on GoN and ruling parties, and as transit routes were blocked by peaceful protesters, the Indian Government stopped sending cargo vehicles to Nepal. This is the truth of blockade of Nepal's regular supply. And more interesting thing is, after starting the border oriented stage-in protests by agitating forces human life casualties stopped, police stopped killing people.
